I need to vent

My dream home. Will have. The following.

Kitchen drawers that slide as smoothly as softened butter.

An infinite number of bookshelves that look neither cluttered nor dusty.

A shower curtain that really does prevent water from leaking out the sides of the tub and has magnets strong enough to prevent a clinging plastic attack when the air circulation causes it to billow. (Am I the only one freaked out by this phenomenon??)

A dishwasher that is silent, produces sparkling spotless dishes- none of which have flipped over and collected rinse water, and so energy-efficient that the electric bill doesn't even flinch.

A front porch with an amazingly cool doormat.

A force field that protects us from invasions of ants. Or any bugs, for that matter.

A laundry chute that drops directly into an automatic sorter, which has sensors that start the wash loads... am I getting too carried away? I lost you at the force field, didn't I. A girl can dream, can't she?

I could not agree with you more about the bookshelves and the ants!! Why is there never enough room on the bookshelves. There should always be room for more books! And ants- don't even get me started on the ants! But congratulations on the new apartment. Just think- 2 bedrooms. That has got to be worth it right? :o)

I SO agree with everything! Even the laundry sorting sensors! :)

This may be one of my favorite posts ever. If I thought I could be as eloquent as you, I might do one of my own.

I hate it when the shower curtain attacks me. Once I tried to fight back and ended up knocking down the shower curtain (held up by a tension rod).

Right now my dream house list is small. I'd just be happy with a dishwasher and a garbage disposal!! And I need to keep my washer/dryer hookups....can't imagine having to haul my laundry somewhere. You know me, I don't even like to leave the house at all these days! I'm doing one of these posts on my blog, I am thinking of too many things!

LOVE IT!!!! I hear you sister! So many times have I dreamed of an automatic laundry chute/sorter/washer/dryer/folder/ironer/put-awayer...oh, wait that's me! Ugh! I've been doing laundry all day and when I read this I had to try not to wake my napping babies from my laughter! I love you!

No, please! Vent away! Sometimes I get so frustrated that we bought a fixer-upper and I think...It will never be done?! But then I remember that I'm lucky enough to have a house in the first place, and I need shut up! I'm requesting a force field for my next house too...and some lightsabers, and the Millenium Falcon. :)
