Yay! Our first meeting of drawing group was a success! We had a great turnout- six ladies, great tunes- movie soundtracks (Dan in Real Life; Dear Frankie), and lots of self-deprecation and laughter as we drew ourselves looking in handheld mirrors. It sure felt good to spend an hour and a half focusing only on drawing! (The first time in years- sad but true). I already can't wait for next time!

I love drawing, yes I do!

I'm super excited about my new venture- a Relief Society drawing group! (Relief Society is our church women's organization). So far I have six interested ladies, and our first meeting is this Tuesday. We'll meet every other week. As much as I love drawing, I never do it on my free time- there's always something else that needs to get done or I just relax with a book. So I'm hoping this will jumpstart my motivation and creativity- the same way it's easier for me to exercise if I do it with a friend. I'll be posting my drawings here so stay tuned!
