Here we go...
After a couple of weeks of Emily playing with her Little People toys where she would have them go potty in their house, we have reached the next level... Daddy's Micro Machines go potty now. Hilarious. The tank apparently thought the round thing in the corner of the desert scene was the toilet (it kind of does, actually...) and just had to "go potty! go potty!" I'm cracking up inside, and can't wait to tell Jason when he gets home! Well, a few minutes later, Emily is pulling off her diaper and announcing that she needs to go potty. (Woo-hoo!) Well, it turns out she went in her diaper. But I'm not letting this moment slip away! So we pulled out her potty seat and she sat and used the toilet paper and washed her hands, and put her diaper back on. A few minutes later, repeat. And again. And again. Joy. So I pulled out her stool so she could climb up and down on her own until the novelty wore off. Which it didn't. But luckily, it's lunchtime now, so I just had to share this great news while she eats her stroganoff.

I love it! So cute!
What a treat!! Potty training is always so entertaining.
Where has the time gone? I can't believe Emily has reached that stage! Have fun! (very tongue in cheek) as potty training was never my favorite thing.
What a great idea to have the little people go potty first! Ben has been potty trained for a while now and the attraction to the sink and water has not gone away! :) Recently I had a "that is so gross, only a toddler would do that" moment. Ben had been washing his hands in the toilet!! EWWWWW! I figured it out when I would say go wash your hands before dinner, and I would go in the bathroom after him and see the toilet had water all over it. And the sink and soap were both un-touched! YUCK!!!!!
Good luck with potty training!!! The best tip for me was to let them do it in their own time. And try your best to appreciate every little accomplishment. ANd not get frustrated. :) And you are such a fantastic Momma. You and Jason are both such great parents. :)
I have not figured the potty thing out for Cyprus. She doesn't want to go in the toilet. I need to figure out how to make it more fun I guess.
I think we'll start AFTER summer vacations...the thought of Brady even entering those germ infested airplane bathrooms freaks me out.
I'm currently going thru it with #3. It definitely gets easier after you've done it before. The first two were AWFUL. This time, it's stress free (although this is attempt #4 with him -- but this time it is successful). GOOD LUCK!
