Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for the fact that I made gravy and it passed Jason's standards of gravy excellence.It was really a last-minute task, when we realized that the gravy mom thawed from the freezer was really cream of mushroom soup. Crisis! And I was the only one who knew how to make gravy from the turkey juice, but my knowledge consisted of a vague recollection from several months ago when grandma showed me how to strain it. Crisis continued- grandma was not at home!! But luckily grandma carries her new cell phone with her everywhere now, and I was able to refresh the gravy knowledge. Crisis averted!
Brian, Melanie, and the boys are down, (always fun- and Tyler is such a happy giggly baby/toddler) so this weekend the guys are going shooting, thus, the turkey target. Too bad Uncle Barney didn't have this to practice with before the turkey massacre of '01. You don't want to know- it's worse than you think...
So tomorrow- Happy Black Friday! I'm taking on Kohls. The Mission: Corduroy Jacket, Flannel Sheets, Dress Shirt for Jason, and maybe a pair of shoes. On our way home tonight we passed Best Buy and there were about 150 people camped out in line. Looked like fun, but...

When I have camped out over night just to get a deal on a shopping trip....then I will consider myself a serious shopper. Not me. I enjoy my comfy bed, Thank you!
Dan's boss is waking up before dawn to be at the local mall at 3 am!!!! Not me - I enjoy my sleep, Thank you! I am just not a serious shopper I guess. Good luck Heidi - I heard it's a total mad house day with day after sales!

I went to best buy today and got an mp3 player and it wasn't too bad. But oh buddy, the drivers out on the roads are enough to make me stay home! Stupid stupid people!
And Heidi, I laughed so hard I just about peed my pants when you brought up the turkey thing and my dad! Oh man, let us all be thankful those days are over and that we didn't have animal rights activists within earshot! haha.
