does it ever snow in nebraska?! I wouldn't know.

Well, here's the giant vacation post! We had a direct flight to Omaha- Emily slept maybe a half hour on the way, but slept a whopping three hours on the way back home! Our reason for making the trek- the wedding of Shawn and Victoria!
Cheryl, Tori and Heidi. Her dress was gorgeous! It was cold. There was no snow to make the cold worth it. Why doesn't Nebraska like me?
The beautiful bride with her adorable flower girls
Emily would take her bow out and then try to put it back. I had to use the distraction strategy to make her forget there was a foreign object on her head.

Check out the cake! Totally cute.

Emily discovered how to pick her nose the day before we left. Especially if there's a camera around. Great. Brady is so handsome as the ring bearer!
Emily became good friends with her cousin Sierra- they were practically inseparable!

Ginger, Jon, Tricia, Marlene, Jason, Victoria, Larry, Alycia, Paul
Traumatized!Emily's cousin Sierra took this one of Emily and me.
The flowers were awesome!

Coming down the aisle Emily and Brady did so well... until Emily turned and started saying "uh-oh!" to her fallen rose petals, Brady ran into her- then sprinted the rest of the way! This is my favorite picture!!! It took me awhile to get used to seeing her in such a fancy dress instead of cotton... she looked like a little princess!

Brady has the best eating expressions!

Thanks Aunt Barb for putting Emily to sleep at the reception!
Cousin Sam astonishes the whole family when he busts out the moves and twirls his partner!
Emily woke up from her nap in time for dancing, but she was still kind of out of it...

Emily shares a dance with Mommy and Daddy.

Jon and "Cotton-Eye Joe" are always a fun combo...

Caught in the act!
The next day...

Aunt Ginger did a great job getting the family together for some group pictures. Poor Tim! I think it's an unwritten rule of the universe that when a group picture of young cousins is being attempted, there must be one in tears.

Let's bowl! Emily helps Dad with his score.
Emily and Grandpa
Don't worry, it's just water! But I'm so proud she learned to drink through a straw... although she had more fun chewing on it.
The whole gang at Papio Bowl! Good times.

looks like a great time. Jon's not a shy dancer by any means. Sorry there was no snow. I hate it when it's just freezing outside with nothing to show for it. It seems even colder for some reason.

I'm sorry you didn't get to go sledding! But it looks like you guys had a great time. I love that you can hear Jason's siren noise during the picture taking!

So, is this a friend of yours or a relative? I thought the colors, dresses (especially the flower girls), and the CAKE were all gorgeous! Man, I can't get over that chic little cake. Too fun.

If it makes you feel any better, Peter has discovered his nose (and mine as well). Of course my nose has a bigger hole, so it's much more fun to explore with those tiny fingers. Ah, the joys of parenthood!
