part-time brother

So the way Brady and Emily have been interacting lately has been more like brother and sister. Vehement and repetitive "MINE!" "SHARE!" and "MINE-SHARE!" are the main words in their vocabulary when they are together. (By the way, "SHARE!" really means "share with ME!"). Don't get me wrong, they are still best buds. But their relationship has progressed to a new level of competition. When I drove Emily over to Jon and Cheryl's this morning, she was so excited and happy, and as soon as we pulled into the neighborhood, she started practicing her "MINE!" and "SHARE!" and the latest- "no, No, NO! B-dy!" (That's just how she says it, too! Complete with pointing finger, which she sadly learned from her mom- which means I can't complain, only laugh in chagrin). I just want to get this on video before the phase (hopefully) passes. We had Brady over last weekend while Jon and Cheryl went on a belated anniversary get-away, and Mom flew down to hang out with the grandkids!
We walked over to our neighborhood park and let the kids wear themselves out!

The highlight was when Brady and then Emily went down the big twisty slide of their own accord!
