And here they are! All the used books I accumulated on my two road trips to Utah this summer! I swear, the DI thrift stores in Utah are the best places for collecting used books because first, there's so many of them- practically one in each city; second, they have such a great selection; and third, the prices are unbeatable!
Here are the highlights:
a vintage copy of Beverly Cleary's Ellen Tebbits (now I just need a vintage Otis Spofford!) These books are hilarious, and I love them just as much as her Ramona books.
vintage Ghosts Who Went To School, a childhood favorite
plenty of books bought merely for the awesome illustrations
Books that I read and loved as a child, forgotten about until I see them again
retro illusrations like this remind me of The Jetsons

I love those vintage children's books, too! Love the "Prayer" book in particular. We didn't have them, but I remember them at friends' houses.
I loved lady lovely locks too. Do you remember the little squirrel things that you could clip in your hair too? Ha ha.
Yay for vintage books! Yay for road trips to Utah! Yay for D.I.! I am excited to read the copy of Ghosts Who Went to School that you gave me. Thanks for coming up this summer and giving me an excuse to go (like I really need one - but hey, whatever). And I think I had a Lady Lovely Locks book too...it looks familiar!
Love the 'Prayer' book. I have just like that on Sacrament I read to the boys during church on Sundays. Totally Jetsonian...
