disclaimer!!!

Okay, several friends have remarked about my use of the phrase "balls to the wall" in a previous post and it's not what it sounds like, people!

Here's the REAL definition from urbandictionary.com (a reputable source, don't you think??)

- To push the limit, go all out, full speed ((THIS is how I meant it!!!))
- A very colorful phrase, one needs to be careful when using "balls to the wall". Although its real origin is very benign, most people assume it is a reference to testicles. In fact it is from fighter planes. The "balls" are knobs atop the plane's throttle control. Pushing the throttle all the way forward, to the wall of the cockpit, is to apply full throttle.

So rest assured, I will indeed be more careful when using this colorful phrase. I think I'll use the more literal and less controversial "going full throttle". Get your minds out of the gutter! :)

Well I figured you meant they were giving it all they got... but did the knobs to the wall really pop into anyone else's head here?? Very funny Hi Dee!

I think it's great that you posted a disclaimer.... I learned something new, so thank you. Who in their right mind would think you have your mind in the gutter. They must be crazy and mistook you for me ;0)

I think it is funnier that you just used the word testicles!

I was actually pretty proud of you, im surprised people took it to be literal. Cause honestly, doing that literally, would hurt. So, thanks for the explanation, but none needed Heidi, I got wha tyou were saying.
